For easy outside hand carry, this meter has designed sensor slots at the back of the housing. Remove the battery cover by turning the cover screw counterclockwise with a coin or a screwdriver, insert 2 * 1.5V AA batteries in the battery compartment, then replace the battery cover and the screw. These 2 * 1.5V AA batteries can last more than 500 hours lifetime. Besides, the meter will automatically power off 10 minutes later if no key is pressed which helps to save the battery.
